Upcoming Performances

Art in Motion is a series that invites families to step into the world of artists and artworks and produce a shared outcome creatively through collaboration. 

Inspired by artist Paul Klee’s quote, “A line is a dot that went for a walk”, this 45-minute dance performance helps to carve out a space where participants can co-create. Two dancers and two musicians will guide the audience to observe the lines and shapes within Keppel Centre for Art Education’s Illuminate! space. Together, they will experience how a dot becomes a line, a line becomes a shape, and finally how the shape can become anything that they can imagine. The audience is encouraged to play and explore, allowing the performances to pop up unexpectedly. Children have the freedom to watch the performers, discover hidden spaces, offer new ideas or engage in parallel play within the space.
